Species Name: Lethrinus laticaudis

Description
The Grass Sweetlip is also known as Sweetlip, Blue Lined Emperor and Tricky Snapper. The overall colour of the Grass Sweetlip is light brownish to golden copper around the head and shoulders with irregular dark brown markings along the flanks this progress uniformly to a lighter belly area. The most notable feature of the Grass Sweetlip is the neon blue marking that spread from the eye region across the head and above the mouth the fins also have a bluish appearance. The Grass Sweetlip can grow up to 6kg however it is more commonly caught up to 50cm.

Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia.
