Species Name: Kuhlia rupestris

The Jungle perch is also known as Rock Flagtail and Flagtail. The Jungle Perch is olive brown on the back and upper flanks this progresses down the body to a more silvery appearance with the belly being white in colour. Around the head and shoulder area there are a scattering of dark marks and spots these spots are also prominent around the fin areas. The most distinguishing feature of the Jungle Perch are the two large dark spots on the upper and lower halves of the caudal fin. Jungle Perch can grow to approximately 50cm in length.
