Species Name: Centroberyx affinis

Description
Nannygai is also known Redfish, Red Snapper, Golden Snapper, Swallowtail and Nanny. Nannygai are Silvery red darker on the back and around the head fading toward the belly, the tail is red. Nannygai grows to approximately 2kg and 51cm in length. Nannygai is most commonly caught up to 500gm.

Distribution
The Nannygai are found in coastal and offshore waters. Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.
