Atlantic Salmon – Salmo salar
Atlantic Salmon also known as Salmon. The Atlantic Salmon colour is a silver blue along the upper back progressing to silvery white flanks and belly area. Small dark spots are scattered on the back, flanks and the base of the dorsal fin. Sea run salmon generally more silver in colour. Atlantic Salmon have been caught up to 10 kg in Austraian waters, however fish to 3kg are more commonly caught.
