Located at the historic Derby Jetty off Jetty Road on King Sound, Derby WA 6728. Managed by the Shire of Derby-West Kimberley and DoT WA. Features a dual-lane concrete boat launch ramp built onto the King Sound mudflats adjacent to the timber jetty structure. CRITICAL TIDAL NOTICE: King Sound experiences extreme 12-metre spring tidal swings (the largest in the Southern Hemisphere). Launching and retrieval must occur strictly within 2 hours either side of high tide, as low tide leaves the ramp stranded over kilometres of exposed mudflats. Amenities include bitumen car-trailer parking, public restrooms, fish cleaning bench, and sea rescue headquarters. Free public access.
