Description
The Longsnout Boarfish is also known as Boarfish and Diamondfish. The Longsnout Boarfish is an all over silver white colour. The most distinctive features are the dark broad bands which cross the body the first across the face through the eye toward the snout and the others cross the body diagonally. The Longsnout Boarfish is striking when all fins are extended and care should be used when handling this fish as the spines venomous and inflict a painful wound. Longsnout Boarfish can grow to approximately 50cm in length and more than 4kg

New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia.
