Species Name: Cheilodactylus fuscus

Description
The Red Morwong is also known as the Sea Carp. The Red Morwong is Reddish Brown on upper flanks and the head area which is brighter around the eyes this progresses down to a silvery white lower flanks and belly area. There are a whitish marking around the eye area along with the horn area. The fins are a dusty reddish brown with caudal fin having a distinct white outer margin. Another feature of the Red morwong is the four or five white marking between the soft dorsal and caudal fin. Red Morwong can grow to approximately 65cm in length.
