Description
The Red Throat Emperor is also known as Red Throat Sweetlip, Tricky Snapper and Sweetlip Emperor. The body colour of the Red Throat Emperor is dusty silver with Broad Red Brown bars that vertically cross the body with the lower flanks and belly area being lighter in colour with the bars becoming less pronounced. The face area of the Red Throat Emperor is more a golden colour with Bright red markings around the eyes and inside the mouth. The spiny dorsal fin is bright red the other fins are more dusty red in colour with the base of the base of the pectoral and pelvic fins being bright red. The Red Throat Emperor Grow to approximately 90cm and catches of fish up to 3kg are common.
