Located on the Denham foreshore off Knight Terrace, Denham WA 6537. Managed by the Department of Transport (DoT) Western Australia. Officially designated as the Denham Town Recreational Boat Ramp, featuring a dual-lane concrete boat launching ramp equipped with a central wooden finger walkway pontoon between the lanes. Positioned inside protected harbour breakwalls, providing safe deep-water launching into Shark Bay for all vessel sizes. Facilities feature a well-maintained bitumen carpark with dedicated car-and-trailer bays, public restrooms, stainless-steel fish cleaning station, service jetty with marine fuel (Bailey’s Marine card required), 24-hour lighting, and nearby Volunteer Marine Rescue headquarters. Free public access.
- Monkey Mia Boat Ramp (Shark Bay):
Located at the Monkey Mia Resort precinct off Monkey Mia Road, Monkey Mia WA 6537. Managed by the Shire of Shark Bay and DBCA. Features a dual-lane concrete boat ramp with a central floating finger pontoon jetty. Provides sheltered launching into the Eastern Gulf of Shark Bay for tinnies, charter vessels, and sportsboats. Shallow sandbar conditions exist at low tide, requiring low-draft outboards. Note: While the boat ramp itself is free to use, entry to the facility requires payment of the mandatory DBCA Monkey Mia Reserve entry fee. Facilities include bitumen car-and-trailer parking, public restrooms, fish cleaning table, resort dining, and dolphin interaction viewing jetty.
